3 signs that you are facing an injury

Listen carefully to your body and be extra alert if you recognize one of the following signs, because you could easily end up with an injury.

1. Extreme muscle pain

Muscle pain is part of it, but if you have this more and more often and more intensely, while your sports schedule has not changed, you may have to take a step back. Suddenly a lot of muscle pain in your calves, for example, can indicate a shin splints. Do you still have muscle pain after more than two days? Then plan an extra rest day.

2. Fatigue

When you are tired, the blood flow in your body is weaker. Overtraining can be the cause. Fanatical training without moments of rest will not keep your body full for long, the chance is greater that you will sustain an injury. Get enough rest and drink plenty of water to hydrate your body and prevent muscle cramps.

3. Sensitivity in a certain place

When a muscle, tendon or bone is sensitive, it often gradually disappears during the workout. Does the sensitivity return after training and does it last longer? Don't ignore it, but schedule more rest periods. Keep a close eye on your body and listen to it.
