Caffeine shampoo is used against hair loss. The warning raised many questions and concerns. Until 2004, caffeine was on the doping list. Although caffeine was removed from the list in 2004, its use is still closely watched by sports organizations for its impact on performance. Alpecin's doctor explains:"It has been scientifically proven that the caffeine shampoo penetrates deep into the hair roots. This gives the roots the energy needed to protect them against, for example, the influence of testosterone. The debate about whether caffeine is doping still exists. The use of the shampoo is safe, also for professional athletes.'
