4 ways to keep your balance better

Your balance is not the same every day. Some days you are stronger than others. On the days when you are a little shaky, you can use these tips.

1. Be aware of your balance

Stand firmly with your feet about a foot width apart. Close your eyes and wiggle a little forwards, backwards and sideways to find your balance.

2. Get off your mat

Are you unsteady on one leg while stretching? With certain exercises, the soft surface of your mat can make it more difficult to keep your balance. Get off your mat and you will see that you are a little more stable.

3. Wear something on your feet

4. Work on your technique

If you don't stand straight, lock your knees or don't contract the right muscles, it's more difficult to keep your balance. You can always fall back on a correct posture and good technique.
