What is "dead ass" syndrome?

A name that makes you laugh but behind it hides a real health problem that is much less funny because "dead ass" syndrome is a condition that can cause injuries to the rest of the body when left untreated. Otherwise known as "gluteal muscle amnesia", this syndrome is, as you will have understood, due to the fact of sitting for too long and/or a total lack of physical exercise.

Consequences? Numbness, stiffness, regular cramps, all signs that show that the muscles of the buttocks have become disused to their function, thus running the risk of softening until they become inert, muscularly speaking.

Results? Other muscles will then try to compensate for this lethargic state of our glutes except that it is not their role! There is then a risk of injury, particularly to the knees or inflammation, thus putting our whole body in a state of tension.

"Dead ass" syndrome, how to fix it?

Considering the buttocks solely for their aesthetic function would be extremely reductive and damaging to our health and physical abilities. Also to understand the fundamental role of the glutes in our general well-being, it is necessary to understand the role of this muscle group. The glutes have a fundamental postural and stabilizing action; they also play a major role in sheathing and stabilizing the pelvis. Maintaining them is therefore fundamental!

Because good news this evil is not irremediable!

So to resuscitate your posterior, there are not twenty thousand solutions. All you need to do is do more glute-focused physical exercise like elevated lunges or squats that will give you a nice butt as a bonus.
