What is the role of the thyroid in the body?

Small endocrine gland at the base of the neck, the thyroid plays a major role in the functioning of the body. To put it simply, the thyroid is to the organs what a conductor is to his troupe. It is responsible for secreting various hormones essential for the proper functioning of the metabolism, bones, liver, muscles, heart and cardiovascular system. Almost all the organs are under the command of the thyroid . It regulates, among other things, the body's overall level of activity, body temperature and energy expenditure.

The thyroid is essential for the functioning of the body. As it controls the majority of the basic functions, its malfunction can only be a source of problems.
