Pregnancy:at what age is a woman most fertile?

The younger generations do everything later than their elders, including the major stages of life. Marriage can now wait (in favor of an established professional career), as can the conception of the first child, which occurs at the age of 28 on average in France. Faced with such a social evolution, young women are not all serene:they are under pressure from the “biological clock” and know that their chances of giving birth decrease as they get older. So at what age are women really the most fertile? The British Fertility Society states that there is a decline in fertility around age 35 due to lower egg production. A woman is born with approximately 2 million immature eggs, which mature around puberty. With each menstrual cycle, the eggs die if they are not fertilized and are reabsorbed by the body, which explains why their number decreases over the years. There are approximately 25,000 eggs left at the age of 37, and their quality may also be affected.

Encouraging statistics for those over 35

The age at which a woman is most fertile is therefore between 21 and 28, and the chances of becoming pregnant decrease once she is over 30. Rest assured, however, another study cited by the Metro site reveals that making love at least twice a week guarantees 82% of women aged between 35 and 39 to conceive in less than a year; the percentage rising to 86% among women aged between 27 and 34 years. Other reassuring statistics:78% of women aged 35 to 40 who have sex during the ovulation period become pregnant in less than a year, compared to 84% of women aged 20 to 34. No need to put pressure on yourself, especially when you know that stress can impact fertility. We let Mother Nature do her job and we don't skimp on the means, because sex has benefits on morale for 48 hours and helps, among other things, to find sleep. We wish you a lot of fun... and to become a parent of course, if that's what you want!
