Running:avoid these beginner mistakes

When you've caught the running bug, it's tempting to run fast. Be careful not to commit one of these four beginner mistakes.

Beginner mistake 1:looking at your watch all the time
Of course you're curious if you're going as fast as you'd hoped, but hold back if you feel like looking at your watch. Go with the flow and only look at your time at the end.

Beginner's mistake 2:Ignoring signals from your body
Do you have a headache? drink. Do you feel any serious pain? Then don't push yourself to continue. You don't want to get injured right now. Running is something you have to build up gradually.

Beginner's mistake 3:comparing yourself to others
Your colleague ran her first five kilometers in half an hour. That doesn't mean you should too. Every runner has his own speed and some can build it up faster than others. Also, don't be rushed if another runner on the street overtakes you.

Beginner's mistake 4:walking the same route every time
Walking the same lap around the pond every week is fun, but it's important to vary your route. On a different route you will encounter different surfaces and so you train other muscles immediately.
