Eye yoga:do these exercises for tired eyes

More and more people are staring at screens. This can be quite tiring for your eyes. With eye yoga your eyes relax and you can take it again.

On average, an adult spends three hours a day on his or her phone. If you also add an eight-hour working day to that, you already have 11 hours a day. At home on the couch you also plop behind the television. Those eyes have to endure every day.

How do you recognize tired-eyes?

You can recognize tired eyes if they give a burning / stinging feeling or that they start to itch. You can become sensitive to bright light, it can cause headaches and even your eyesight can deteriorate.

The best way to combat these ailments is of course to reduce screen time. If you sit in front of the computer all day for work, this is of course easier said than done. That is why you can apply these exercises to give your eyes a little more rest.

How do you do it?

Relax your eyes with these eye yoga exercises. Find out for yourself which one works best for you.

  • Warm your hands by rubbing them together vigorously. Place your warm hands around your closed eyes and wait until your hands have cooled down.
  • Sit down and look for a distant object and focus on it. Extend your arm and place your thumb between your eyes and the selected object. Change your focus from your thumb to the object and vice versa. Hold for twenty seconds and repeat three times.
  • Close your eyes and move your pupils from top to bottom and left to right. To make it easier, imagine that you are looking at a clock. So from 12:00 to 06:00 and from 09:00 to 03:00. Do this five times
  • Blink your eyes 10 times quickly and then close them for about 20 seconds and let them rest. Leave your eyes closed for a moment and picture the clock again. Watch every 15 minutes for about five seconds.
