My Flow, the first connected tampon

An American start-up has created a tampon connected by bluetooth. Yes, yes connected.

Her name ? My.Flow. The very first connected tampon that allows women to find out in real time about the saturation of their protection. In addition to informing you when to change it, it also helps prevent toxic shocks and the risk of infection.

How does this famous i-tech stamp work? Well, it is actually a bluetooth sensor, a chain more precisely, placed on a classic pad. This is connected to a monitor that attaches to your pants or slips into your pockets. Not very practical huh? But it turns out that little box is the whole center of the process. It is indeed he who recovers the data which he then transmits to your smartphone thanks to an application. You can therefore check the status of your tampon at any time of the day on your phone, which also notifies you when it is time to change it. Weird you say?

The app also serves as a database since you can enter the start and end dates of the cycle, as well as the days when the periods were the most abundant, in order to be able to anticipate.

Making sure you have your period discreetly still has a shot:count $50, or €44, for a monitor, to which you have to add several euros per tampon. Recently presented to the American press, my.Flow is still far from marketing and is still looking for investors to produce its final version. Ready to give it a shot?
