I don't digest milk well

I usually drink it for breakfast.

If it weighs down our digestion, it is surely a sign of lactose intolerance, a sugar that can be difficult to assimilate when you have a lactase deficiency (a digestive enzyme). So that the hot chocolate does not remain on our stomachs all morning, we put on a low-lactose milk, which contains less than 1 g per 100 ml (compared to around 5 g for a classic milk). Light morning milk (Lactel), light and digestible GrandLait (Candia).

I'm invited to a raclette party.

The more the meal will be rich in lactose (cheeses, but also charcuterie), the greater the risk of bloating + abdominal pain + diarrhea… As a preventive measure, you can swallow half an hour before 2 to 4 capsules of a supplement that provides you with lactase essential to better assimilate it. Alvityl Digest (Urgo), Lactolerance 4500 (PhysioSynthesis), Lactase 3500 (Solgar).

Allergy or intolerance, what's the difference?

These products are useless in case of allergy to milk proteins! Digestive symptoms are the same, but the allergy can lead to hives, asthma, and even anaphylactic shock. This is checked by going for a blood or breath test to the allergist or gastroenterologist.
